First Team Building Friday
Last Friday our team of psychologists did with our players the first block of team building activities, which will be regularly organised during the season.
Here’s how our psychologists view the rationale behind this brilliant idea:
“The purpose of team building exercises is to assist teams in becoming cohesive units of individuals that can effectively work together to complete tasks.
“You learn more about a person in an hour of play than in a year of conversation.” Platon
Everyone needs to get out of the “office” from time to time for a change of scenery and some fresh air., and tennis can be also seen as a kind of work if we don’t break the routine. A change of scenery helps clear the mind and enables people to see their colleagues in a new light. “
The players had lots of fun; all of them enjoyed a bit of their time off from tennis. Being a great team involves understanding our roles, performing our tasks as best as we can while supporting other team members in theirs. As can be seen in the video below, mission accomplished :-)
