Group from Sutton Tennis Academy at BTA
This week we have had the pleasure to welcome at our tennis academy a group of ten girls from the Sutton Tennis Academy in England and their coaches.
The girls have a personalised group programme of match play. We arranged for them matches against our academy players so that they can test their clay court skills against a variety of opponents.
Such a set-up gives them plenty of opportunities to work on their game tactics for both singles and doubles as well as practise their movement and footwork on clay. Playing matches on this surface calls for specific tactical choices and differs significantly from the game on faster surfaces. As such, match play on clay offers multiple possibilities for improvement of tactical analysis and decision making.
Today, on the last day of their visit, the girls will play a tournament, to finish off their stay with all the excitement and fun that a real competition brings.
The group stayed in a nearby hotel situated just a 10-minute walk from our beautiful Castelldefels beach. Spending some time off between practice sessions on the beach is a great way to unwind and recover after training.
We hope the group has enjoyed their stay at our tennis academy!
