Andrea Ribalta Bio

“I was born on November 2nd, 1998 in Barcelona, Spain. Coming from a sportive family, my dad was a waterpolo coach, reaching the Olympics on 1992 as a coach.

I’ve decided to play tennis at 6 years old, since then, never stopped.

When I was 12 years old, I started to compete on important competitions, such as, Catalunya Championships, and Spain Championships, where I played singles, dobles, and teams, representing Club Tennis Barcino, one of the best well known tennis clubs from Spain.

Also, I was able to travel around Europe, and play some Tennis Europes on singles.

On 2014, I ended up being ranked between de best 14 players from Catalunya, and ranked 300 from Spain.

Thanks to the hard work and the results, I was able to earn a scholarship to go to the US to play tennis and study a Psychology degree at Wilmington University, DE, Division II.

In 2017, during my sophomore year, as a team, we reached the semi finals of the Conference East Region. In 2018, during my junior year, we won the finals of the Conference East Region. Finally, during my senior year, I reached to be ranked individually between the best 12 players of the East Region, earning the “Second Team” trophy.

In 2020, came back to Spain, and started working at Club Tennis Barcino, as a tennis coach, while finishing my Masters degree in Sports Psychology.

Thanks to Barcelona Tennis Academy, I was able to finish my Master’s practice on Sports Psychology, and start working as a Tennis Coach combining Sports Psychology as well, at Barcelona Tennis Academy”
