Tennis-specific Movement Drills
Once per week our players have fitness sessions on the court, working on their tennis-specific movement patterns so that they become players’ habits.
Movement on clay follows its own rules, the skill of sliding being one of the key abilities to master. Players need to be able to move side to side, forwards and backwards, at the same time maintaining their balance when hitting a shot. It all calls for a great deal of preparation in terms of coordination, footwork as well as explosive power, which is what our fitness director Sergi Valldaura focuses on in his work with our tennis players.
