Tennis lessons for life

In this difficult moment for all of us we have decided to focus on the positive and share some of the powerful lessons that tennis has taught us. In this way we want to show our gratitude for this amazing opportunity of participating in our tennis adventure and working together as a team.

First of all, the past few weeks have made us realise how strong we are as a team. We often talk about a tennis family, and sometimes it may seem a cliche, yet this challenging situation has shown us how connected all of us are, how we miss our trainings and our daily life at the academy. Our Whatsapp group which we have set up for the time of the crisis is full of warm messages of support, games, videos and funny stuff. Every day we keep in touch and count the days till it’s all over and we can get back to training. This support and connection show how sport and common objectives bring people together and instil the team spirit.

On a broader scale, every day we see tons of pictures and videos of tennis players, coaches, academies, tennis families posting daily, at-home trainings and positive messages of on-going work. It seems that no one gives up in the world of tennis; no one stops due to isolation, quarantines and lockdowns. Quite the contrary, everybody seems even more determined to improve so that they can come back stronger. We believe that it is the experience of sport that gives us this toughness, optimism and drive for improvement regardless of how difficult the circumstances may be.

Looking forward to seeing you all on our courts soon! Stay strong and safe!
