Boxing with Ella

Our fitness programme incorporates elements of different sports and uses a variety of tools to ensure players’ optimal tennis performance. 

The benefits of adding boxing to our training routines can be varied and cover multiple dimensions. 

First of all, we love it how it positively impacts a sense of timing and rhythm which may prove helpful in transitions in moving around the court as well as striking the ball at the optimal time. It helps to work on shot reaction time by improving anticipation.

Second, boxing not only improves footwork but also balance and eye-hand coordination.

It is an effective form of upper body conditioning building strength and hand speed.

Finally, being a contact sport, it may contribute to developing players’ confidence.
