Sports Psychology workshop at BTA
This week and the next one we have the pleasure to cooperate with a sports psychologist Connor Grant who is running a sports psychology sessions with our players, both on and off the court, introducing them to the 4As approach. All of us are excited to learn new things and perspectives during Connor’s stay at our academy. Here’s Connor’s message:
Hi BTA players and parents,
I am visiting the academy for two weeks this September to assist in the psychological development of the players or part of the high performance coaching programme at the Barcelona Tennis Academy. I will be running 1 to 1 and group sessions on court as well as interactive presentations off-court.
With initial playing experience in professional sport and an interest in the exercise sciences, I have forged an early career as a performance psychologist. Last year I was trained by renowned tennis psychologist dr Anthony Ross on the ‘mentally tough’ tennis 4A cycle, an applied technique that I have used with junior Davis Cup players and Olympic champions.
I currently consult in the UK with elite juniors and senior sportspeople through my platform at
I’m very much looking forward to my stay and making a meaningful impression with the players and staff here at BTA.
Warm regards,
Connor Grant
